Digital Talents: A Training Program to Bridge the Tech Skills Gap in Corrientes

The Digital Talents program, an initiative designed to train aspiring programmers, has opened its pre-registration for the 2025 edition. This training program was launched through a collaborative effort between the Universidad Nacional del Nordeste (UNNE) – specifically the Faculty of Exact and Natural Sciences and Surveying (FaCENA), the Government of Corrientes, the company TelCo, and the Provincial IT Hub (Polo IT). The goal of this initiative is to equip individuals from Corrientes with essential digital skills to meet the growing demand for technology professionals in the region.

As the program enters its third edition in 2025, it aims to train up to 400 students, further strengthening the province’s technology sector. Since its inception in 2023, Digital Talents has successfully trained hundreds of programmers, helping to close the skills gap and provide employment opportunities in the IT industry.

Pre-Registration for the 2025 Edition

Pre-registration for the 2025 training program began on Monday, February 10. Digital Talents is a public-private initiative aimed at reducing the disparity between labor demand and available talent in the IT sector. By offering free training, it enables individuals to start a career in technology, regardless of their prior experience.

This program exemplifies a joint effort among public institutions, private enterprises, and academia. Any resident of Corrientes who has completed secondary education can acquire the necessary knowledge and skills to enter the technology industry and secure employment in this expanding field.

Classes for the third edition of the Digital Talents program will commence alongside the academic year, starting on March 5, 2025. The course will run for nine months, concluding in November 2025.
