The mystery was finally unveiled on Monday when the 23-year-old artist officially announced his Latin American tour. The tour includes stops in Mexico, the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Guatemala, El Salvador, Colombia, Peru, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Chile, Uruguay, and Argentina.

Buenas Noches: A Record-Breaking Album

Quevedo’s latest album, Buenas Noches, offers a fresh perspective on life and the world around him. The album has not only received critical acclaim but has also broken records. Within the first 24 hours of its release, it amassed 12.2 million streams on Spotify Spain, surpassing the record set by his debut album, Donde Quiero Estar. With over 25 million monthly listeners on Spotify, Quevedo has cemented his status as one of the most streamed artists globally.

For Quevedo, Buenas Noches holds a special significance as it marks his return to music following a brief career hiatus. His visit to Argentina comes nearly two years after his last concert in the country, which took place in December 2023 at the same venue, with tickets selling out in less than 24 hours.

Who Is Quevedo?

Pedro Luis Domínguez Quevedo, better known as Quevedo, was born in Madrid on December 7, 2001. At the age of four, he moved to Gran Canaria, where much of his family is from and where he considers home. His music is deeply influenced by the island’s culture, blending hip-hop with Latin rhythms.

Quevedo holds the record as the Spanish artist who has spent the longest time at the top of Spotify’s global charts. In 2022, he released Sin Señal with Colombian producer Ovy On The Drums, followed by Vista al Mar in September. Later that year, he dropped Punto G and closed 2022 with Playa del Inglés, a collaboration with Puerto Rican artist Myke Towers.

However, the turning point in his career came on July 6, 2022, when he released Music Sessions #52 with Bizarrap. The song quickly skyrocketed to the top of Spotify’s Global Top 50, making Quevedo the first Spanish artist to achieve this milestone. In 2023, the track won Best Urban Song at the Latin Grammys, held in Seville, Spain.

A Rising Star in Urban Music

On January 20, 2023, Quevedo released Donde Quiero Estar, his debut full-length album, showcasing a more intimate side of himself. The album features 16 tracks, with 12 solo songs and four collaborations, aiming to create music that is timeless and universal.

His highly anticipated second studio album, released in 2024, provides a renewed outlook on life and the world. With Buenas Noches, Quevedo seeks to redefine the Spanish-language urban music scene. The album represents a transformative journey, highlighting the artist’s personal and professional growth.

Demonstrating his versatility, the album features an impressive lineup of collaborations, including Aitana, De La Ghetto, De La Rose, La Pantera, Pitbull, Rels B, Sin Nombre, and Yung Beef. Additionally, global superstars such as Duki, Ed Sheeran, Rei, Lola Índigo, and Karol G contribute to the project.

Quevedo has propelled Spanish reggaeton to an international level, solidifying his place as a leader in the urban music scene. With his return to Argentina and his new tour, he continues to captivate audiences worldwide, further establishing himself as a defining voice of his generation.
